Yet another old world charm can be found in the form of the Carfax Tower, originally built in the 13th century as part of the St. Martin's Church. The Tower still has a set of six bells that are rung every quarter of an hour by the Oxford Society of Change Ringers. Located at the center of the city, the tower can be reached through St. Aldate's Cornmarket Street (North), Queen Street (West) and High Street. It is open from 10 am to 5.30 pm from April to October. However, for sightseeing in this city and adjoining areas, a comfortable Oxford car rental service will prove ideal.
